I just did this, I used my horn as well and really like it. It is much easier to switch boost while driving. I really need to go into high boost when I hit 3rd gear in order to keep traction, and before I couldnt do it in a race situation. However, with the horn button it's possible now. it's handy, and only costs about 10 bucks as opposed to greddy's button which is over 110$

FYI you should use a stereo plug instead of a mono one with a vacuum piece attached...

I ended up using a stereo plug, b/c radio shack gave me the wrong size.

 

curiousity: what would you guys think about a cheap (lets say, $75 shipped for sake of argument) kit that would change between high and low boost depending on vehicle speed?

 

that may be ok blundar, but keep in mind a lot of guys here are "do it yourselfers", and with the info in that link, could do it. However you may drum up some interest.

switching between high and lo settings may be simple to do for the DIYer, but you need a few more pieces to use your VSS to trigger it. DIYable, for sure too...

 

yep, I hear ya. Throw together a kit and see if you can sell one. I'm sure you can at least sell a few.
