CAr wont start after running compression test. HELP!
i posted this already, but i didnt have a title...so maybe this will get more views -_- i really need some help here. ok here's the problem, me and my friend were fixing my gf's car the other day and then we started by doinga compression test. so we pull out a spark plug on a piston and we run the test. and then we put the plug back in and then we do the same for the rest. right after we do the compression test though, the car wont start. it'll crank but it wont start. anyone know the problem?? help -_- for the first piston we accidentally forgot to unplug the fuel injector fuse too, but then we did it for the rest of them.
Hey whats up man
I think you definetly screwed up by not pulling ecu fuse before doing the test, I have heard of people blowing their ignition coil because of that.
well now all you can do is reset the ecu and try testing the igniton coil.
I'am not postive put this is a good place to start. Maybe try cleaning the plugs up or getting new ones (check for spark.)
Good Luck

you probably flooded the cylenders with fuel. a) pull the spark plugs and let the cylenders air out, b) check the ignition coil like the other guy said, c) try starting again, if that doesnt work, come back and post the progress
Check to see if you have spark. My dad did a compression check on my '95 GSR without pulling any fuses and it blew something in the distributor. I wasn't getting any spark, I don't know if it was the coil or whatever, but I just got a brand new distributor from DistributorKing.com for $150.
Here is the thread I made when my car wouldn't start after a compression check - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1159604
You should really search this was only like a month or 2 ago

The ignition coil is located inside the distributor. I'm not sure what it looks like on OBDI dizzys. It sounds like it's something with your dizzy if you aren't getting spark.

Definitley fried the coil if you didnt pull the ECU fuse, when you crank the engine without pulling it then the coil is still building up a spark, but as the leads are pulled out the spark has no where to go and so goes back and fries the coil....pull the distributor cap off, and take off the rotor arm, the black plastic cover then slides off and the coil is the black plastic boxy thing thats held in with 2 screws....theres only 2 things inside, the coil and the ignitor pack and its a greyish colour
therefore when you guys say to pull the fuel injector fuse, you mean the ecu fuse under hood. i did my test without pulling this fuse and didn't do wot and got 155,160,165,175. Probably i should re do the test???
