Default ls/vtec ?s for a cx hatch

im getting a 90 obdo b18a motor off my buddy for damn near free and i want to throw on obd2 b16 head.
im using the golden eagle ls/vtec kit too..
can anyone list some other stuff i need to swap over.
i can already think .. i need a obd2 dist. alt. and intake mani.
Anything else? to do this?
im going to use a obd2 engine harness. and run a chipped p28

will i have problems with the block considering its obd-o? and what should i replace in the block to clean it up. hes giving me a brand new acura headgasket & valve seals. thanks for help

There are no wireharness connections to the block with the exception of the knock sensor, and oil pressure sensor, but those should be no problem. If you want, i would get the block decked and replace all the seals that you can.

take the block to a machine shop and they can deck it for ya. My local machine shop charges 50 bucks for a decking. I would replace pistons, rods, and bearings if u are planning on revving the ls bottom end super high because they are not meant to rev very high.

decking is like planning wood. They basically take a couple passes on the top serface of the block (one that meets with the head) so the head gasket will make a proper seal with the head and with the block.

To do this right dont forget the ARP rod and head bolts,,, new bearings.... ITR pistons will fit onto ls rods but you will need them to be pressed on. A direct bolt on would be b16(pr3 or p30 pistons) If you want to do it right rebuild the bottom end.. no point in putting it in to find out the compression is off and needs a rebuild anyways,
