who's using datalog... NO HONDATA!
i was just wondering who out there is using datalogging.
ECUcontrol
Uberdata
Ghettodyne
Ect.
If so do you have to burn the chip to enable datalogging? or will it datalog automatically?

i believe it will datalog with the program(ie. uberdata/crome) however you would want to make adjustments(via tunning) through a Real Time Programer(rtp) with a emulator instead of burning a new chip after everytime you make a adjustment.

im using datalogging with UBERDATA. uberdata1.7 and uberdata1.8 (this version doesnt work for me. i keep get n constant CEL) Uberdata1.7 works flawlessly for me. i use it in my car and in all the cars i build for uberdata.
to run datalogging with uberdata or basically any other system, u will need to first add a dataloggin cable into the ecu. once u do this, u must have a version of the program that u r using that has datalogging built into it. Uberdata1.66 does not have datalogging enabled so u will need uberdata1.7. once u have a chip burnt with uber1.7 u can start to datalog.
and u dont really need realtime programming. it's just *bling bling* to make tune n go a little faster. i dont use it even though it would be cool to have,. i'll keep it simple and just burn a chip everytime i make changes

alos if ur using the USB cable, u will need to download the USB driver for it. here it is on this webpage http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...Tools
already had that. but for some reason the ECU control software doesnt detect it. non of the gauges on the software work in live. i clicked start datalog and i drove for around 35 mins. and i didnt get any info back

just out of curiousity...
You have a board dedicated to engine management, yet you ask the lunatic masses of h-t these questions instead of using it.
Why?
ECUControl (And Uberdata, Crome and Freelog) all require an "aftermarket" serial ISR. In Crome, you use this by installing the Datalogger+ tool. In Uberdata, it's automatically compiled into the ROM. You may also want the check the state of J12 based on which code implementation is in the ROM.
