when i bought my EK4, the hood handle was broken. Now the only way to open my hood is to pull a small metal pipe!. i was wondering how can i fix it?? cuz there is no handle to pull, just the stick that holds the handle
Is there anything broken off of the piece directly attached to the cable? If so then you need a new cable and a new handle, if not then you just need a new handle. You can probable find all the parts you need in a junkyard for dirt cheap.

But isn't the handle part of the entire assembly, and not replaceable
I had to replace mine last summer. Take the fender off, re-route the ne cable. No big deal, about an hour and a half to do it

The entire cable has to be replaced...you cant just replace the handle.
I just replaced mine on sunday.
You need to remove the bumper, the driver sideskirt, feder, driver headlight, driver kick panel (consequently dead pedal) and the latch itself. Then you can pop the white clips and yank the cable out.
Just remember how it went originally when putting the new one in.
(Clean your latch while youre at it)
