ls/vtec it's alive
hey whats going on. I just finished my first ls/vtec today but the car is going crazy as soon a i start it. i have a 95 teg with a b18a block and a b16a head. the head is obd0 and i'm not sure that all the sensors are working. as soon as i start the car the throttle takes off like i'm stomping on it. any body have any idea?
not yet. still under construction if you know what i meen. i bought the car from some old lady that blew the timing belt. so my plans for the car are to repaint and do a ls/vtec swap but **** keeps slowing me down. i really thought it would be easy but i was wrong.
your throttle cable isn't tight is it? i kinda had the same problem with my ls/vtec, but i had a vacume leak in back of the intake mani, and plugged it. i had a vacume line that didnt need to be connected. that took me a min to figure out. i would check all your vacume lines.
Man, I think your right about the vacuum leak. i'm really unformilair with this old b16 intake. It looks like a bowl of spaggetti on top of it. lines going everywere. i must of check the tb fifty times today so i'm possitive thats not the prob. i did chop the legs off the distributor could that be part of the problem? oh, get this if i retard the t2iming on the dist the car spits and sputters. if i advance it revs like crazy.
