Another option is to simply cut the power running to the motor of the antenna that raises and lowers it.
Simply pull out the antenna to the height you desire then epoxy the joints to keep the antenna from slipping all the way down. You can make your stock antenna about eight inches tall if you want which I think is one joint length. I believe there is little to no loss in reception by doing this either.
Cheap fix...done it before. Works fine. *shrug

yeah i hate that TICK TICK GRINNND GRINNNNND it makes when it freezes. unfortunately, i listen to the radio a lot and have heard people's range suffers when doing the st00k conversion.

The S2K antenna gave me really crappy reception. It doesnt have a booster or its own power so its only marginally better than running with no antenna at all.
I've had another Metra antenna inaddition to this one and both have been great, they're both powered and grounded antennas and have much better reception than the old S2K antenna. Also, theres no possibility of it leaking like the S2K mod. Then you just get the plug from the 91 accord DX (theres a thread in the Integra forum with the part #) and plug the antenna hole with the OE nut and bolt for the antenna hole size.

Just try this, no antenna when you listen to cds and flip a switch when you need the radio...
Go to http://www.sandmracing.com/ and look under Mods & Upgrades and Antenna Switch. Thanks Scott

I have shaved off the antenna after my paint job and have not yet found an internal antenna to replace it. I've been to all local sterio shops and they all did not carry one.
anyone have any idea as to where to get a good INTERNAL antenna?

I found it from an internet car audio retailer. They had so many antennas to choose from it was crazy. Try Googling "metra antenna", I'll see if I can dig up the place.

^^ thats a really good alternate I may go that route later on, because with the S2000 antena reception is pretty shitty
Also i found the antena motor to be around 5 pounds or so? could be wrong but it could be a good method for weight reduction
