97 gsr loss of power problem , any idea's?
Thanks for taking the time to come in and help me diagnose this problem .
When im driving my car it will randomly bogg down and feel like it's running on two cylinders. After a 3-4 seconds of this it will clear up and regain full power , as if it's flooded.
I replaced the fuel filter and the distributor already..
Anyone else have any idea's what it might be?
Thanks , Reza

I'm having the same issues. I'll give you a list of things to check.
Pull the pugs see what they look like.
Also check the spark plug gap while they are out.
Measure the resistance in your plug wires with a DVOM.
Run a bottle of injector cleaner. Maybe they are starting to clog?
Pull your cat (if you have one) to see if its clogged.
Check the Voltage of your TPS.
Check the voltage at the injector clips.
Check the voltage at the primary o2 sensor.
Valve lash adjusment might be needed.
Check to make sure your timing belt isn't loose.
Good luck.

The flashing maintanence light is just telling you that your scheduled maintanence is coming up..(Mileage wise) Soon it's just going to stay on instead of flashing. There is a reset button under your steering wheel to turn it off. If you have a manual, there is a picture locating the button and instructions on how to turn the light off.

you can try and check your fuel pressure, and as far as the maintance light he's right you just need to hold the button under the steering wheel for a few seconds or so, and change the oil, filters and that kinda stuff, just a reminder light. i have that issue also, but its not that bad for me.
