pictures please. i think the bottom hole you are trying to use will not work, it might cause the oil to back up in the line

What do you mean it's not working? Is it not draining?

Most setups on HT try to have their return as high up as possible so that oil can drain as easily as possible. I've heard some people say that they have theirs low to minimize foaming but I don't see how the oil can drain if it's low in the pan.

if the oil isn't drained properly, the oil is gona stay in your turbo.

what piping is it hitting?
you can get really short 90 an fitings that may do the trick for the top right hole.

get another pic where it hits,
and that bottom hole is probably for an oil temp, i would not use it for return

If you want to blow out the seals in your turbo use the lower hole in the pan. FYI that hole is there for an OIL TEMP SENSOR, it is NOT a drain.

Use the top hole in the pan, and get a 45 degree fitting to help you get around the intercooler piping if this dosent work you need to clock your turbo housing some to pull the piping farther away from the pan.

I agree that he lower one is for oil temp. And on my pan I was able to use the upper one with no problem. But I can't think of any reason you couldn't use the bottom one.The oil isn't going to back up in the line, its just going to drain into the pan.The worst case there is going to be an inch or so of oil in the line. But the line is an inch longer. The oil in the pan isn't under pressure or anything.

The oil MUST... repeat.. MUST drain to the pan under gravity with no restrictions.
You MUST use the upper bung on the oil pan, it has a special "drain line" to help the oil flow into the pan without being "short cycled" within the pan.

The lower bung is for a temperature sensor only!
