i was thinking about running an aftermarket intake manifold to make swapping a b18c1 into my ek easier. I figured this way i wouldn't have to wire up the valves from the stock IM. my questions is, if i am still using the p72 wouldn't it still look for that sensor, and if i didn't wire anything up for it, will the ecu throw a cel? thanks in advance!

..you must be talking about the IAB's on a GSR intake manifold. You dont need to worry about this sensor, there's actually no check engine light for it, so you won't getta check light if you upgrade to a Skunk2/blox/or AEBS intake manifold (for GSR head). But your VTEC will kick on too early for the type-R style intake manifold; if you have the ecu reprogrammed or getta VTEC controller, raise VTEC to about 5300-5500rpm..
