Default ek swap

i have a wiring problem on my ek. There is no wire going to the sensor on the b18c1 manifold and it makes my engine idol. i search but have no luck so maybe someone can help me please????? The sensor is called the iac sensor i think. its the one thats on the top of the manifold since the manifold looks like its backwards haha?

I believe that is the IAT on the GSR intake manifolds. All you have to do is extend the wires on your stock harness.

i would but there is actually no wire on my harness for that sensor

you do have one its probably there... It was probably plugged into the intake arm and either has the sensor still on it or it is a square plug that you have to rewire for the gsr IAT.

oh i probably do but i have 95 gsr so do i have to switch it to a obd1 plug, I have a obd2 plug

Since you have the EK, if you originally had the D16y7 motor, your IACV (Idle AIr Control Valve) plug is 3-wire, not the standard 2-wire ones, like most all honda engines use for their IACV (which is what the motor your running now has) . This is because the D16y7 uses the Downdraft style manifold, and so the IACV is on the actualy throttlebody, not the back of the manifold, that is your problem. There is a write-up somewhere of how to convert, but i just found that confusing and complicated, do yourself the favor and just get a new wiring harness which would save you lots of time and despair. Thats what i did when i did my swap. Just get any 96-00 EX harness.
