Default ????smokin problem????

alright question .... ive been working on my project car for about a year ....yea im lazy ..but dont want to rush it i want it to be mint.. but anyway its a eg coupe with94 b18c1 swap .. but i started it today just to let it run for a little bit and noticed smoke coming off the exhaust manifold nothing crazy but you can see it .....anyway i looked for where it was exactly coming from and cant find it looks like the hole thing is steaming...so i bought a used dc header $50 bills and bolted that up at first it was good then it started smoking again....then i checked the oil and it was filmy and sorta white tinted i think it was just from moister for sitting for 2 monthes but i heard that when your head gasket blows and the antifreeze and oil mix it also gets filmy...thats pretty much it ...any suggestions

Sorry to say it doggie, but its the Head Gasket!!! Maybe you should change it yourself, but then again you may need to get the head machined by a shop for added security.

Milky= Head Gasket

But the smoking problem is odd. It could be that your head is screwed and is not sitting right and the oil is burning on the engine. Is it white smoke or blue? It also sounds like there is some water in the oil from sitting around. Was it in a garage (open to frost)? It could just be that. Warm it up and then do all your checks. Good Luck

but you dont think it would over heat plus i just talked to my freind who works in romeo's race engines and he said if i ran the car and its not in the pan then its not the headgasket plus its sort of like goop chunky not thin

Is it steam or smoke ? Puked head gaskets put more steam than smoke at the pipe. Bad valves or rings smoke.

It could be a headgasket, but then again it might be something else. Try doing a leakdown test first.

Its NOT the head gasket. People need to STOP posting bull ****, thinking they know everything because they own a honda. Every winter I put my car away and after sitting for 3-4 months, when I start it it smokes ALOT. And I have milky **** under my oil cap. But I don't have any coolant lose nor is my oil contiminated. Its only Moisture!!! Don't worry about it!!! Moisture is moisture it will be there from the car just sitting there in a damp cold garage.
When i first did my 2nd gen b16a swap, it was smoking alot too. So I got worried and did the head gasket, but it was a waste of time and money (but fun). And the results were the same. I started my car 2 days ago because I put on a blox IM, a dc header, and got my tb bored out. And again it smokes, and water drips out of my muffler.

If you are not sure of something, or if you don't Know something, then don't post what you THINK is wrong. Your gonna make this guy replace his head gasket for no reason. Excluding those that said it might be moisture.

everytime there is a tech question. The only answer everyone know how to give is ..."its the headgasket""like for sure NO doubt about it"

too much bullshit on here already, just stay in the appearance forum or look at pics... only forum totally credible anymore.

My ***** Itch?............HEADGASKET!!!!

yea it think it's pretty normal to "steam" a bit. white smoke = water burning. lots of water can collect in the motor if it's been sitting around for awhile

And now back to the original post..you have to really read close:
Either this guy is on his second warped or cracked ex mainfold, forgot the gaskets or has a headgasket leak. We have to assume he could tell if it was oil burning on the manifold right ? Not to mention the milky oil.
