Default d15 trouble

Hey guys I have a ej2 and its been doing some things that are freakin scary lol. For one before its able to start the check engine light has to come off ( takes about 5-7 mins on a good day, whats up wit that ?) Also when its started it sounds like its on three cylinders at some points and im getting a bit of white smoke. I checked the coolant, and the oil they have not mixed, however im scared it may be the head gasket. Are these familiar symptoms to any of you? PLEASE HELP

Thanks in advance

when i first bought my eg i had the same problem. i took off the head and discovered that my block was cracked and coolant was leaking into the cylinders and that was the reason why i had a bunch of white smoke coming out of my exhaust. my head gasket wasnt in great shape either. sounds like your head gasket might not be in good shape. try taking off your head and see what you can discover. replace your gasket and see if you have starting problems again.
