Default B16 Valvetrain with CTR cams?

is a valvetrain upgrade necessary if i run civic type r cams for my b16 with stock valvetrain. do i need to do a valve adjustment... if so can i install the cams and drive easy with them (not going into vtec) and take them to a shop to get adjusted cause i tried to do one once and i couldn't really tell if the feeler gauge felt tighter or not.

you really dont need an valve train upgrade. though a valve adjust should be performed after installing the cams. i would reccomend a valvetrain upgrade if u plan to add aggresive cams in the future. dont rev past 8200.
