Default Rear speaker an option in 92?

I have a 92 Si. The rear does not have speakers panels, just a a regular panel that pops off like a speaker grille would. Behind it is nothing, but I can see the holes where the speaker brackets appear to bolt in. Does anyone know if they where options back in 1992?

Also if you have a rear speaker panel with the grille and bracket, I will buy IMMEDIATELY!!

There is somwere around 8 different pieces + hardware, that you need to add speakers (expensive at dealer). Find them on Ebay, H/T, or a junk yard...

Cheapest and easiest way is to make your own custom brackets out of wood.

I got two whole kits at the junkyard. I sold them for $125 for each kit. I was told by the dealer they are no longer available. If you can get the brackets for $32 go for it! Buy a couple of sets and you will make some extra money quick.

All I did for the tweeter was dremel a hole big enough to fit it snug and flush against the plastic quarter panel.

All I did for the speaker bracket was cut it to fit. It's secured by three bolts that are already drilled in the frame.

I'll do a writeup this week for you all to see.

Dude, I took off the grill cover so you all could see. You don't see any of that with the cover on.

That doesn't sound right to me. You need 2, 3, 5, 8, 18, 20, 23, & 19 in the first pic, and 9, 18, 11, 20, 26 & 36 in the second picture. Good luck with your girlie at Honda...
