little like 3.5" speakers sit back there.

I just cut those removable panels for 6X9's, worked great.

There is a bracket that the speakers fit into. The part is now discontinued and is very rare.

You can find them for sale in the marketplace/ebay/craigslist from time to time. Also, I think the speakers aren't 3.5" they are 5.25"

I had the brackets, I'm nearly 100% sure they were 3.5's they were small as hell.
My Taurus SHO has 5.25's as the main front speakers and 6X9's in the back, and the fronts are MUCH larger than the stock rear civic speakers. The FRONT civic speakers are most likely 5.25

I'll take pics of it later, 6X9 fit, they cleared the 'mounting area' for where the speakers usually sit.

I cut a hole in the panels to mount them and screwed them in with the supplied hardware, and they came with a cover so it covered the screws up good.

The brackets are definitely 5.25" speakers as there are now two 5.25" speakers sitting in the back, which sound like crap b/c there are no baffles. Do the 6x9's sit in that removable space? They don't weigh too much or cause those panels to pop out when they get moving? Did you mount it to the bracket back there in any way?

Wow, coulda swore they were smaller, ahh well.

I'll snap a picture of how I mounted mine later on today, My car had no factory stereo at all, so I didn't have that bracket, and the way the panels lock into place they won't pop-out.

That would be awesome... if I could get some decent 6x9's boxed-out by the panel, that would completely remove the need for me to build a wheel-well box in the back What are you driving your 6x9's with.... an amp or from the HU?

are you talking about this location?
bottom center/right-ish of this pic is the cover and plastic shield

speaker/cup/bracket

those are 5.25" all though 6.5" are not difficult to make fit in there.
I have a set in my 92 hatch.

#'s 2 & 3 came with my car (aren't they stock in all eg hatches?) #1 (or 6/8 at minimum) is the prize possession most people can't get their hands on. What I wanted pics of was Dasfinc's 6x9 install in the back to see how he fit them on #10/19

x2
Trace out the 6x9 then carefully cut it out I did this in my hatch came out better then I expected. Just make sure to try and center it correctly or the speaker will vibrate on the panel when bass hits.

Any pictures? I just wanna see what it looks like before I take the dremel to my panels. Do they fit entirely on the removable panels as well?
