aftermarket 92 rear speaker brackets?
anyone know of a company or product that is an aftermarket 92 civic speaker bracket? i want to add rear speakers to my 92 hatch.
i could build a custom bracket, but im not sure how well it would support a speaker.

Build your own. I just used sheet metal. Works fine for me.

sheet metal?
Are you talking about putting some in the package tray, or in the place where 5g Si's have them stock? If it's the latter....
I just made a set out of 3/4" MDF.
You know the stock bracket in there when you get the interior panel off? It's like an 'L' shaped bracket with two bolt holes facing right at you?
make a pattern that will fit flush on the front of that bracket, and sit flush BEHIND the end of the 'opening'. The piece you'll make will be maybe a foot long. Possibly longer.
Get bolts that will screw into those vacancies on the bracket. About 1" long. Drill appropriately through the MDF to make sure it will line up, and screw down the front side of the bracket.
For the rear of the bracket, drill two small holes through the metal panel, and through the MDF. Then just use wood screws to hold the MDF flush with the metal itself.
It works very well, and is very sturdy.
I've already done all the test fitment for all this stuff, and you can fit anything in there up to an 8" woofer 5.25, 6.5, 6 x9's etc.
If anybody is interested, I'd make you a set supplied with the bolts and everything for the cost of supplies with whatever sized opening you want.
