stock hp numbers on dyno for 95 civic ex vtec?
im from the integra part of HT and i just wanna know how much horse a 95 civic ex vtec has to the wheels? and what gains it gets from intake headers exhaust and high flow cat. thanks.
Not a whole lot. I dont recall im prety sure it has like 115 to the flywheel or something like that. and those bolt on dont give a whole lot of gains.

this sounds about right.

125 to the flywheel actually... That's the z6, the y8 has 127.

For whp, agreed.

On a Dyno jet few months ago. This a 99 civic EX auto with few bolt ons. At my current point today, I have done few more modification to it. Such as AEM SRI, Cam gear +2 degrees, and a E-manage soon to be tuned on.

First off, it's an auto...meaning Torque Curve is way different. Second, Auto sucks up HP.
Like I mentioned above, I have put few Bolt-ons on the car. The dyno chart that you see above has,
K&N Filter
DC 4-1
Greddy SP catback
Nology Spark plug wires
Sun auto Ground wires
HP: 102.3
TQ: 87.0 lbs
The Current status now has(add some stuff above)
AEM SRI
Cam Gear +2 degree's advanced
more ground wires
E-manage (not installed yet)
Estimating HP: 105~110
TQ: about 90lbs
Hoping for at least 120HP after the E-manage installed and tuned.

when my motor was bone stock with the stock exhaust.. it was enough to net me a 15.90 in the 1/4 mile in a 1993 ex coupe.
then when i finally dyno'ed it with the stock exhaust, i made 123whp. maybe my turbo kit had something to do with it even tho i had the wastegate disconnected, boosting 0psi! who knows.
but i agree.. most stock d16z6's will put down about 110ish whp.

On the somewhat same subject about the motor....what do you guys suggest to get to sqeeze a little more HP and TQ? Something around the $500 or less(without the option of Nitrous)

He he, dynos measure wheel power, torque hp same thing, hp is torque time rpm divided by 5252, that's why torque and horsepower ALWAYS cross at 5252 rpm. The reason this graphs doens't is becuase the horspower is on a different scale then the hp.
::EDIT:: quoted wrong person doh! fixed now

so do you want alot more power or just a little, because for around 1000 bucks or under the only thing thats gonna get you alot of power is turbo or nitrous. since you don't wanna do a nitrous setup it would have to be turbo, but you don't have a grand lying around so this is probably out of the question. improving the power to weight ratio is always a cheap thing you can do to make your car faster. try removing your rear seats and spare tire, jack, tools. that will probably get you 50-60 pounds lighter atleast. if you want a little more power for around 500 bucks you could get an aftermarket cam and maybe a better flowing intake manifold. that should probably get you 10-20hp or more tuned with e-manage. or you could just change your auto over to a manual. i think you might be able to do that with 500 bucks.
