Hondata stage 4?
I am looking at buying a older hondata stage 4 system WITHOUT the boost option. But the car is a 1990 civic si with b16/w drag kit, i am looking for about 380 whp reliably.
Alright, so i am a little confused on how hondata works, i have a main idea that it works by extending the tuning capabilities of the stock honda ecu.
Here are the questions. How can i get the boost option added, can it be added by a dealer that i am going to get my car tuned at?
By buying the stage 4 system, i have everything i need (minus socketing the pw0 ecu) to get my car tuned by a dealer correct?
What advantages does hondata have over a rom editor like turboedit.
TIA-Aaron

i really really want to not convert to obd1. My car is obd0 and my engine is obd0, so i want to tune it that way. Thanks anyways guys, and if you have any answers to the above questions i would appreciate it

zdyne is some expensive bullshit, and i am wondering what the advantages of hondata over turboedit are.
I just want to know if that is all i need to get my car tuned by a dealer and if it is a good idea, i don't care what anyone thinks i should run, and im not going to go obd1.
thanks, Aaron

Why not write an email to Hondata and see what yor options are?
I think you will get better feedback from them rather than from a bunch of joes on the net.
Anyway, if your not full race and just tinkering with a full built crazy motor I would suggest you stay OBD-0 and try Turboedit.
For those that have tried Turboedit and Uberdata they prefer Turboedit for having more features and stuff. Look into if you are seriously interested.

i know, but it just bothers me when i get the typical honda-tech "go obd1", and my question was not "should i stay obdo or go obd1" my question is about running hondata on my obd0 setup and how to get the boost option available on it, and also if it is all i need to get tuned by a dealer.
sorry if i offended you.

i didnt mean to start ****, i wasnt saying that you should go obd1 i was just giving you some suggestiions if you wanted to stay obd0, theres nothing wrong with that, cuz i run obd0 also.
Up...I'd like to hear the advantages of Hondata over the freebies too (for our obd0 cars). It seems like everyone is running Hondata...why?
