Ok tired of the MF2 crap, time to hondata
I am getting tired of the mf2 and all the piggyback crap. And the car still doesnt do right so i am going to go with hondata. What stage and stuff would you all suggest? I wont be able to tune it my self. Also how much you think it will be plus a estimate cost of tunning after hondata TIA

That is a smart idea really, the Hondata is a lot more flexible than what you have now. If you get anything less than stage 4 you will have to have it tuned by someone else who has stage 4 software. I personally am getting stage 2b, which is stage 2 with boost. It has the features I want for a good price, you can find out more here http://www.hondata.com/prelude9295.html

You never did get the MF2 working right, did you? Anyway, standalone is a much better idea anyway. You definitely feel more confident about your car, less like it's a patchwork waiting to fall apart.
Good luck.

I might be wrong, but I thought I heard that the Preludes don't take to the MF2 that well. Anyone else hear this?

My Prelude ran fine on the MF2, but it runs better on the Haltech E6K. I believe SagaPrelude still runs the MF2. I know ProLude had alot of problems with his MF2 not working properly. I don't think the quality control is all that good with them. I know a couple people, including myself who had to send them back to get new controllers, before they would work.

I don't wanna hear this stuff about the mf2 now. I just ordered my kit and thought the mf2 worked good. I could have ordered it without so i could go with a stand alone, ohh well. You do know 4th gen preludes have to get a obd1 gsr ecu right?http://www.hondata.com/prelude9295.html

Yea it worked just peachy for 15,000 miles then i decide to do a rebuild due to a blowed blancer shaft seal. So i built the block up, lower compression and stuff, and havnt been right since with the mf2 cut all the way down. The car has good potiental but not half assing it around like it has been so i am tried of the crap and going stand alone

I'm not an expert on this at all, but you should try taking the injector out while everthing's still connected. If its flowing fuel at vacuume, somethings wrong. Either its bad, or its not tuned right.
I've heard of them coming bad from the factory, they had a bad batch, but I haven't heard of them going bad yet? Doesn't mean its not possible.
