Default Vafc @ +23...

Is it really that bad to plus it that high? Between 6000 and 6500 rpm I'm running lean (15.2) and I kept adding until I got down to 13.8. I was told that it's bad by some and was told it was fine by another.

.....anything above 12%-15% on vafc isn't doing anything. Add fuel pressure instead and fine tune with vafc. Any detonation?

In my experience, I haven't been able to add more than 8% without tripping out the MAP sensor and throwing a code. Am I the only one who's had this problem?

I thought the same thing, but I started by adding 3% and just kept going up because it was making a difference. No detonation. No cels.

Yeah, but it won't be consistent. Do a few pulls and that problem of leaning out will be intermitent. Still there. For peace of mind, raise fuel pressure.....

It depends on how close to 0 vacuum you are when you are doing this.

remember its not fuel, its map signal.

well, considering it's a built b20vtec we had this problem with, that would explain it. It modifies the MAP sensor values the ECU see's so that it fools the ecu into adding more fuel. Thanks for the info, I didn't think of that.

Have you tried increasing your Fuel Pressure, and then taking out fuel in the areas that your rich with the VAFC.

I'd say it's time for some 270cc injectors.. maybe even 310s.

well, we are out of options on that. Fuel pressure is maxed at 56psi. Anymore than that and we kill fuel pumps. We're still running stock injectors. The entire air/fuel is still upwards of 13.5:1, as lean as 15:1 in the midrange. Our solution? Hondata stage 2 and 440cc injectors next week
