Default put in new O2 sensor but still cel

i put in a denso 4 wire wb o2 sensor and my check engine light is still on. the engine is a z6 with a p28 ecu. does it take awhile for the ecu to find the new o2 sensor or should it find it right after install.

Clear the code from the ecu.

Disconnect battery or remove ecu fuse for a while to reset.

Are you sure you wired everything up correctly?

IMHO, i wouldn't of went with a denso O2 sensor.

Cheap quality and it won't be long before it breaks.

try an OEM sensor (shouln't matter) but if the code remains, it could be a different sensor, wiring to the ecu could be shot, ecu pin could be bad...

it should detect it right off. go to autozone and see if its the same code ...you could have replaced the wrong one...take it out and put it in the other slot
