i have a 97 civic ex....and my ecu was throwing 4 codes and they were....primary o2 sensor, secondary o2 sensor.....VSS circut fault, VSS range/performance........primary heated oxygen sensor electrial circut fault, secondary heated oxygen sensor circut heater system fault.....ELD low input, ELD high input......and all i did was disconect the o2 sensor in the header for liek 3 min and disconnect the neg(-) terminal on the battery and now its only throwing the ELD high input and ELD low input codes? y is that? and i was reading a couple posts back and they were talking about vtec engaging when the o2 sensor is bad....but yea i have a vtec light so i kno when it kicks in....and if my ECU is throwing a o2 sensor code then im guessing my vtec wouldnt kick in right??? please reply back

the reason is because you re-set the ecu so now the ecu has to trip a certain amount of times before it will show you the code. If you drive it enough I bet it will show up eventually.. Sometimes the error codes are stored in memory from the last time and since something else triggered it the CEL will come on and you think there is 4 codes
