test pipe question?
If i put a straight pipe to replace my high flow cat and make holes and get adapters to plug in my o2 sensors will my CEL come on? and if the light would still come on would that cause my atts light to come on to?

Yes.
Even if your 2ndary O2 is in the test pipe, it'll still trigger a CEL.
To run a test pipe, you need to run an OBD1 ecu.

It only lasts for a couple weeks at best, then you get one anyway.
I've tried on a prelude and an ITR - the CEL gets cleared, drive around for a week or so, BOOM CEL.
Though, you're right, I just imagined it in my head...........

if its an obd2 it will trigger a check light for catalyst inefficiency, to remedy this problem get an o2 sim, with that the ecu will think that everything is ok, and no more check light
I think there are plenty of people who have had good success with O2 sims, just ask around.
It might be the type of one that you put on, I have heard there are two different types. Supposedly the one KTeller sells is better and more accurate sim.
I will be buying mine in the next few days to install with my cheapy fleabay test pipe, so I'll find out as well.

A test pipe will replace your catalyc converter. More than likely your ATTS light will come on along with your Engine light because it is programed to do so even though there is nothing wrong with the atts unit.
if you have an SH, just get an o2 sim. No point in swapping to OBD1 ECU and losing atts just for a test pipe.
the O2 Simulator sends a signal to the ecu so it thinks its still reading properly. Wire it up and call it a day.
