I am getting a new dizzy tomorrow. I am not going to hook the msd up this time. I already had my car tuned with it. Would anything be affected by not having it hooked up?

 

If you're only running 8psi like in your sig, you shouldn't have a problem.

 

Well I have a 1.0 bar spring coming. Will I be effected by that?

 

If I were you, I would recheck the timing with a timing light. When I first put my MSD in, my ignition timing was way off. I had to move the distributor from the stock position to get the timing back to stock.

 

Check the timing but it shouldnt effect it much I wouldnt think.

 

Yep, just check the timing.. When I removed mine for some testing my ignition timing was slightly off but not enough to matter..

Why are you removing your MSD box?

I was getting that no1 cylinder position sensor. My car was bucking like *** down the street lol. I sent the dizzy back to Distributor King and he sent me out a new one under warranty. He was say msd probably messed that dizzy up. I am going to go without it this time.

They just sold you a bad dizzy and their trying to cover it up.. The msd box just waits for the ignitor to output ground and then fires the coil directly..

 

so my msd is not messing it up? My friend has a dizzy from them and he threw CEL 8 (TDC sensor)

 

It shouldn't be messing it up. Only thing msd's have a tendancy to do is melt caps and rotors. . .
