Intake Mani and TB sizing???'s
i have a jg victor x mani and am looking to get a throttle body for it... now i am a little confused as to what i should get regarding TB size. I believe that jg mani is 65mm?? so should i get a 65mm TB or get the mani ported to 70mm and get a 70mm TB? please help!!!! thanks...
It depends how much power you want. For under 350whp, it wont make much of a difference. Also depends on the size of your i/c pipes. No sense in getting a 70mm (3 inch) if your piping in only 2.5 (65mm)

that is what i was thinking... i mean, i have a full race kit, but my ic piping is only gonna be 2.5 inch, so it would really be pointless for the airflow to open up 5 more millimeters for no reason really... im thinking i should just keep the 65 straight through...

but really, isnt it pointless to go from the 2.5 inch to the 3 inch, and then back down to the 2.5??? that is really pointless IMO... y make a larger area for the air to go, only to find out that it needs to be compressed again back down to the 2.5?

so going from 2.5intercooler piping to a larger throtle body to a event bigger intakemanifold runner would be bad? what abought the throtle plate with that there is dosent flow like a a true 2.5inch pipe

well. if your i/c piping is 2.5" which is about 63.5mm which means youd have to have a larger tb for it to be "equal" because you need to take the butterfly into consideration as a restriction, a small one but its still there.

exactly, so therefore 65mm is a perfect TB size...
