i need motor help
Here is my question: I have a 95 civic with a gsr motor. I bought a 97 hatch and was going to pay the guy who sold me the car to put the gsr motor in the hatch which he was going to charge me $500. he said he'll put in a b20/b16 motor with a b16 trans in instead. In exchange he wants my motor and a grand to do it. I have no knowledge about b20s. If u were me which would u do?
He's trying to rape you, b20 I believe is a small truck engine and you wouldn't pass emissions. I think the gsr is better for F/I, but b16 would be better for all motor with shorter gears. I'd just stick w/ ya gsr. just my .02
WTF punch that dude in the face and tell him to **** off. He is looking to rape your dead corpse after he rips you off. He's trying to get you coming and going.
if he's nice he just might give you a d15b instead of the b20 and ask you to pay him for taking that piece of **** gsr motor off you hands.

He's probably going to try to talk you into it telling you it's so much better because it's a bigger engine or something like that, but don't let him. Keep your GSR, put it into the new Civic (if you're still going to buy it after reading this thread,) but don't let this guy even get his hands on it - he'll probably find some way to rip you off. Install it yourself or have someone else do it.
