what can i do to fix my vtec
having chipped ecu and vtec controller...

well, it's not only working "when it wants to." there naturally must be a reason why it doesn't always work. check your oil level, make sure you're up to normal operating engine temps, check for codes, etc. cars are systematic; there's a reason for everything.
