ummm lol.. maybe you should replace those sensors...
and yes they can affect VTEC

Re: (Slopoke)
In order to engage in vtec you need the following requirements from your car
55 psi of Oil pressure
Set RPM's for Vtec to Engage
Water Temperature must be at 140* to engage in vtec
Vehicle must be going faster than 10 mph.
Engine sensors that are not working could effect Vtec.
Also if you lack oil pressure then vtec wont engage. Is your car eating alot of oil?

make sure you don't have a major leak in your vtec solenoid. Like previously mentioned if you don't have enough oil pressure your vtec won't work. There are two gaskets in your solenoid, one connected to the head which at honda is like 25 bucks, and one in between the top and bottom pieces of the "assembly" that is like 6 or 7.

Doesnt mean your sensor is bad. It needs to be calibrated to ensure that its reading properly...
If your TPS sensor went out you would know it.. Cause if u went to WOT the car wouldnt even rev up hardly at all.
