99 HX TRANNY VS 99 EX TRANNY
I WAS DOING SOME RESEARCH AN I SEEN THAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO WAS THE GEAR RATIOS IN 1ST AN THRIRD ... HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE CAN I FEEL FROM JUST THEM TWO GEARS???
I believe all D series 1st gears are the same? Correct me if Im wrong,
Even if 1st and 3rd gears were different ( longer) then that would affect you because 1st gear wouldnt accelerate as fast, and after shifting from 2nd to 3rd, it will drop out of your power band in 3rd.

For acceleration...yeah EX tranny is best, it has a higher final drive---4.25 as opposed to the HX's 3.72 (both manual trans.)
