Ek power windows
well, i searched and only found windows for sale.. my power windows go down decently quick but go up realllly slow and its gettin annoying.. im guessin window motor?
could be the motor...but before getting a new motor (if that is the problem), grease the tracks just like the previous posters have suggested...
same happened to mine...only when the weather got real cold, and they came of track...so i used some silicone type of spray that's sorta like wd-40 and sprayed them on the rubber tracks, and it works like new...

Exactly. Before you go ripping door panals off and replacing parts, go to your nearest autozone or whatever automotive stores they have in the states and but a can of silicone spray with a straw. Spray a generous amount in the rubber track that the glass slides in on both sides. Put the window up and down 5-6 times, do it again. After this your windows WILL work like new, I did it to mine the first day I had it and it's been a couple of months now...still good.
This should be known as the EK slow power windows fix...

to spray that rubber track i dont have to remove the door panels right? and wont that get grease all over the window when i put it down? sorry this is the first time ive ever done this never had fucked up power windows
mine does the same and sometimes detracks. I havent had time to take mine apart and actually look at it but i dont think mine is aligned. When i greased my track, i noticed my window detracked more. If you have a helms look at page 20-21 under body. Only other things i can think of is possibly window tint is causing friction against the rubber? That may be my problem as well, do you have window tint?
Good luck

no no window tint.. i dont no.. hopefully its the track.. its a 2000 so i wouldnt think the motors would be going that quick specially on a honda.. and there both slow so maybe they just need greased.. how would i go about greasin them.. should i like put the straw in the window seal and just spray evenly on both sides of the track?
yes, stick the straw in the rubber tracks and spray every part of the track that the window touches...
then open and close the window a couple times to coat the tracks and spread the spray...
you can then spray the tracks again, if you want, just to make sure they are coated...some of the spray may get on the window after puttng them up and down, just wipe off that stuff and the spray will just be in the tracks...should be good as new

I sprayed every part of the rubber track that I could see, putting the window up and down a few times does the rest of the track inside the door. I repeated this about 4 times before the windows started working quickly and properly like they should.

Chuck, your pins that hold the window inline with the metal frame at the bottom may be worn, or one may have fallen out. You'll have to take your apart to see what's going on. I believe you can get a new pin set from Honda for about $6 per window or something like that.

I've noticed mine are incredibly slow on the way up too, and kind of creek and "bounce" on the way back up, like if you took a sweaty hand and pushed it across some glass and it kind of stuck to the window.
Can you get away with just spraying the white silicone grease into the part of the exposed track on the top of the door w/o taking off the panels? Like just spray some into the little bit of track showing by the side mirror, and then a little down into by the door lock button?
Or is it worth it to just spend the 5 extra minutes and pull the door panel? Nvm, even if you pull the door panel you still have to pull off all the stupid plastic weather liner.

Sorry, I actually know how to take the door panel off and get to the tracks. Sorry for assuming people in this thread knew how to also. Flame me for getting a clarification, please, thanks.
It's just a quick was to fix the slow power windows, 5 minutes or less... You don't have to bother taking the door panels off because it's not necessary. And by the way, it'd be better to use clear silicone spray, it's not nearly as messy as white silicone or white lithium grease. You can't even tell it's there - no mess.
