Re: EK driver window
white lithium grease spray
put it back in the track; and spray some in there every couple months
it is a lubricant, and also waterproofs so make sure you get white lithium grease not wd40

Re: EK driver window
i havent had an EK for a while, but if my memory serves me correctly, it should be behind the driver kick pannel close to wher the door regulator is.

Re: EK driver window
power windows have the same problems as well. My drivers side has come off track twice. The first time I just fixed it and put it back together like it was but then it came off again a longtime later but this time I did lube it up real good. If I ever have to do it again I'm going to use a new regulator.

Re: EK driver window
I put power windows/locks/mirrors on my hatch that came manual windows.
It happens on both. The lithium grease only cost $2.59 it beats buying a whole new regulator. Plus in the install of a new regulator you'll probably make the misalignment worse.
When I did my swap I put brand new power window regulators, and still have this problem from time to time.
I recommend realigning it really good and the lube.

Re: EK driver window
Don't go and buy a new regulator first. Go and buy a new window guide. The majority of the problems start there because the rubber rots or gets stuck in one position and binds up the window, causing you to force it out of alignment. This is also the cheaper route. If you go online to [link]www.majestichonda.com[/link] and order your window guide, it will cost you about $25-$30. Then, if that doesn't solve it, you may have to buy a new regulator.
All this was part of trial and error for me, as well as reading a lot of stuff on the internet and talking to a few Honda mechanics at different dealerships.

Re: EK driver window
the driver side is going to be common on any car, just due to the fact that its constantly used...in turn means what? more wear and tear. definitely agreeing with white lithium grease, make sure your track isnt bent, then put the window back in and grease it.

Silicone spray is actually the recommended lubricant for the windows IIRC. I know it's what I use. White lithium grease can eat away at rubber parts.
First, you'll want to see if someone else can help you with this. It's nice to have someone else to grab the glass if need be.
Front Door - 4 Door:
Door Panel Replacement
Outer Handle Replacement
Latch Replacement / Glass/Regulator Replacement
2 / 3 Door
Door Panel Replacement
Outer Handle Replacement
Glass/Regulator Replacement
Glass/Regulator Replacement
Glass Adjustment
Glass Adjustment (cont'd)

Dude you're totally right. That's what I MEANT to say. I just happened to have lithium grease in the garage and named that off the top of my head. But it's the silicone spray you want.
