qtr panel weather strips
searched but didnt find.. ive noticed that alot of first and sec gen civics get rust up under the rear quarter panels.. is this due to that factory weather trim that honda puts up underneath there ? im assuming it holds water so would it be a good idea to just remove it now?

When I had my car oil sprayed, they removed that rubber lining and soaked it in oil. There was some rust under there, I wasn't happy... but it happens, it's a Honda and this is Canada, and they love their road salt here.
