Is this a good price for a car?
I hope this is in the right place if not i am sorry.
I have a hatch w/a JDM type-r. This dude i know has a 2001 Integra type-r He bought an inline pro turbo kit for it and the motor got stolen b4 he got the turbo kit on his Type-r. So meanwhile he put an LS motor in to get it runn'n until he figures out what he's going to do next. He said he he needed money and he'd sell everything as is. It's a complete 2001 type-r minus the motor w/an LS motor and turbo kit. He said for $13,000 he'll give me the type-r and put my motor in the type-r and put the LS motor in my hatch and put the turbo kit on the type-r. I just need to get an inline pro head gasket and have them tune it. What do you guys think? good deal or pass it up? thanx for your imput. And don't say dont' turbo an R. If that's all the imput you have i disagree. I have talk to many ITR owners and Inline pro. Stock for stock its the best B-series motor to turbo charge.

Dont boost a "R"! J/K My buddy has a built/boosted R and the **** is sick. My opinion is do ALOT of research on the car/vin. Remember; if its to good to be true it probably is! At least thats been my case...
if that car gets stolen you don't get 13K, if a type-r gets stolen you get 15K from insurance. It's a type-r original title w/49,000 miles
1) That car is about as theft deterrent as it gets.
2) GSR/ITR, whatever, must be kept in the garage, especially in NoVA.
3) Depending on your insurance company, if you have your receipts you'll get <U>most </U>of your money back. He's got all receipts.

So, for 13k you're getting a Type-R with an LS and turbo kit installed by Inline? Yes, you're getting a good deal. Inline charges like 7-8k to install and tune a turbo kit.

He's going to take my type-r motor out and put it in the type-r body w/the turbo kit and put the LS in my hatch so i have two cars all for $13,000. This is worth it?

Yeah, that's a good deal, but honestly, I'd just keep your current car and buy the turbo kit from him to turbo your hatch. It'll be quicker, since its lighter and it wont be so vulnerable to theft. Just my $.02

While the car in the link you provided is spectacular, the resale value on an original type r is better, at most he would have to find himself a type r engine, which really isn't hard, it's more about the cost, which the current engine and turbo kit would help to pay for. But I'm thinking more long term value of the car. All those parts on the Gsr mean nothing when it comes time to trade in or sell, unless you're privately selling and even then it is still going to be difficult.
I would say go for the Type-R, it's the better value for you.
