So basically today i tried starting the car. right when i twisted the key, i heard this click sound, and now the car doesn't start. im pretty sure the battery is dead, but why would it be after just 40000 miles? is that normal? i can't even lock/unlock the car, lights won't turn on, and even the light on the roof doesn't come on when i open the door. if anybody can help me identity the problem, i would appreciate it. thanks alot.

 

replace your battery and i'm sure you'll be good.

 

how old is the battery? isnt it more time than how much it's used?

 

Mileage doesn't matter with the battery.

 

Mileage to a battery is useless, Try to jump start it with another car and then take it out for a drive to charge it up. after 30 mins it should be ok. If not then you need a battery.

True, my R's battery die at 30k, I replaced it. running good.

you get get it charged. Cause it might be that you forgot to turn the headlights off or something.

 

yea i think im just gonn ago with a new battery.
anyone know who sells batteries for cheapest???

 

Have you jump started it yet? Seriously, maybe you left an interior light or trunk light on.

Also, could be the alternator. I wouldn't buy a battery unless I was sure it was the battery.

I have the sears battery and it has been working fine and I give it a work out when I turn up the tunes 900wts

seems like it wont die out again..but i cant be 100% sure
