Just as the title states. Battery is fine. Turn the key to start the car, and nothing happens. No clicking, no lights on the dash, nothing. Completely dead, as if the battery were dead. Hook up the jumper cables, dash lights come on, car starts right up.

have you checked the volts from your battery with the car running and the car off? bad battery or ALT is going out and it's only putting out JUST enough to keep the car powerd and running

if its your alt. you car will start and run for a lil bit then die but it doesnt sound like that get a new battery and try that or take a friends battery and put it in for just a test and see if that the problem if you dont want to buy a new battery and check for loose wires

sounds like what happened when my battery died before. lights would be either really dim or completely dead when i tried to start, but once started ran fine. a friend tested the battery for me with a voltmeter and said it was fine, but i got a new one anyway. problem solved.
