Default Thermostat Problem?

Hey it's starting to get cold here in Idaho (-2 this morning) and it seems like my car is taking forever to heat up. Once the heater gets warm, it's only warm not near as hot as it used to get. And if you let it set for 10 or 15 minutes, it gets cold again. My car doesn't overheat or anything like that. I was thinking thermostat, but I just wanted to a second opinion. It's a 98 HX never had thermostat changed. I haven't checked coolant yet, but I will before I change the thermo. Thanks

Thermostat could be stuck open. I just had to replace mine due to this.

autozone work fine if you get the failsafe ones. you must ask for the failsafe one. they are around $14.99 and they will stay open if the thermostat malfunctions.

wide open or no thermostat will cause your car to not heat up as well, additionally, old antifreeze or not having the right mix will prevent your car from heating up as well.
