better battery?
well last night here in st.louis temps got down to the low 20s. needless to say with all the rain, snow, sleet, and high winds, it made for a very cold day. and even colder night. my car has been running top notch ever since i have bought it. but this morning (after 20 minutes of trying to open the doors and hatch) i stick the key in, turn, and nothing, totally dead. is there a battery with enough cold cranking amps and **** to keep my integra starting everyday? it gets pretty damn cold here in the winter and i dont want to have to spend 15 minutes starting my brothers chevy pickup just to jumpstart mine. or is there any kind of "precaution" that i can take it preping my car for cold winter nights?
get an optima. ive worked for interstate batteries for 5 years and they do a great job in the cold. Since it is a glass mat battery they cant freeze...had the one in my truck down to -30 and it started right up

who has the best price on this battery? and my computer shows a nice RED X. so i still cant see it.
*okay well i found out the real reason why my battery was dead. it wasnt the cold, oh no. earlier today i was at my parents house after i got my car started. my dad and i were walking to my car and i heard something from under the hood. i popped the hood and noticed that my fan was running. i dont know which fan is which. but when looking at the motor, it is the one on the right side. i can unplug it right there with the quick connect plug. but what is causing my fan to keep running? ive never seen this problem before.

well yesterday it would run constantly. but today i noticed it didnt run with the car off, but the car on. (like normal) and last night when i got home i didnt have to unplug the fan. but i dont ever know when the stupid thing will just up and kick on. what are possible problems?
well now another weird thing .... i had my heat up yesterday, turned the car off .... and the blower was still on. so i turned the heat off and the fan off. and then nothing else happened. well i mean it turned off, but it didnt cause any problems after i just turn it off. but even still my aux. fan is still unplugged. WTF is going on here?
i hate to bring up an old thread, but i hate to start a new one on the same subject. i got a lot of good info and advice. but im looking to cut weight of my car. and i know batteries weigh a good amount. whats the best lightweight battery? or is the optima fairly lightweight?

Thats the batery you need. It weighs 10 lbs, and I have had no trouble starting my car up here in CT this winter (Its been about 5-15, degrees for the past few weeks)
