Default what do you all think of my plans for next year?

right now im whippin a '91 olds cutlass for the winter. ya know, a winter beater. but next year i plan on taking out a $10g loan or something like that. sure i could buy a used bimmer, a fast american car. but why? i want an integra.

im planning on buying a new engine so instead of swapping the engine, i just want an engineless body. (a gen 2 integra by the way) how much do you think i can find one of those for? i figure $1500, maybe $2000.

After this im thinkin about three options....

1) I want to build a poor mans type r - b18 block, vtec head, type r internals. am i right? you all know what i am talking about. the purpose of this is to eventually put a turbo on it.

2) A frankenstein. crv block, vtec head. from what i hear these are really unreliable so that turned me off to this idea.

3) B16... from what i read, stock - they are strong enough to handle a T28? what would i need to do to put a t3/t4 on it?

As most of you could probably tell i really dont know much about what i am doing - i would be having a friend help me.

what do you think would be my best bet? i want a gen 2 integra or a civic hatch. what would be the cheapest way to go? even if it's just a t28 - it's still something so right now i am leaning towards b16.

help! thanks.

i say just get a b18c or b18b block and throw some low compression pistions, good cam's, valve train, crank, pully's, port and polished, S2 manifold, etc. you'll have a good strong block.

also i say dont get a BRAND new block, get a used one with very low miles and just have it machined, blue printed, etc.

a big problem with turboing DA's/gen2 tegs, is that the engine bay is so cramped that it can get preetty damn hot in there with a turbo setup. also if you want a/c, going DA wont be your best bet, there are like 1 or 2 kits out there that let u keep it, but some of there IC hoses suck ***, not bent to spec which again causes problems.

but to a DA build tho..

i'll commit on the loan thing later, gota go to class
