Default Cracked my Rad today ARRGH..

well, I went to the track today, about an hr drive both ways.. When we got there, it started raining so we just came back home..

THing is, when i got to my driveway, i noticed that my stock teg radiator developed a hairline crack on the front/top of the plastic endpiece of the radiator.. i dont know how long i was driving w/ it cracked, but there was a noticable amt of coolant leakage by the coolant visable throughout the engine bay and on the hood.. I"m guessin it cracked on my way home, but i cant verify WHEN it cracked..

I never noticed my temp gauge temp goin up, so i never suspected any thing wrong in the engine bay.. Keep in mind that I"ve got 2 fans on the rad, on in front and one in the stock location.. I"m jsut curious why it even cracked, considering today wasn't even a warm day...

Any help would be appreciated..

Funny I had a stock Si rad and made 500whp! I changed it out when I went for 600+whp BUT it wasn't necessarily needed I have know guys on stock radiators and make over 600whp no probs.

well.. $$ is tight now so i'm just gonna throw a civic AUTO radiator in there for the time being.. if it happens again, i'm definately upgrading to a PWR half size rad..

Alright, i got the civic rad on now , and today i noticed that my upper rad hose began to bulge around the 90 bend.. This is the exact same hose that i used on the teg radiator too..

never seen this happen b4 either.. I think i'm gonna get some steal tubing and use that instead of them dam OEM rubber rad hoses..

You sure your headgasket isn't blown? The hoses should be firm, and expand a little, but not bloated like you say it is. .

I surely HOPE its not blown.. I dont have any CLEAR symptoms of a blown HG.. i.e.

-milky coolant
-coolant over flowing into overflow tank
-high temp gauge readings
-coolant over flowing when reving w/ the rad cap off
-no white smoke out the tail pipe..
-compression was 195-190-190-190, +/- 3psi when i did the test about a week ago..

My built motor has about 8K miles on it now and i've taken it on a few 12 hr trips already.. car pulls pretty good w/o any noticable smoking out the tail pipe either..
runnin a COMETIC .36 mls HG, ARP studs, and was torqued to 70 ftlbs in the proper sequence..

I'm kinda gettin worried though..
