Default best cylinder head for a d16y7?

what are you opinions for the best head (other then from a chick) to put on a d16y7

z6 and y8 are both vtec heads, out of different generation civic ex models.

y8 is the 'best'

Y8 has smaller combustion chambers = higher compression.

Z6 has better flowing ports.

stock for stock, i'd stick with a D16Z6 head, but if you port a Y8 head, they flow as good as a stock d16z6 head but you get the added benefit of higher compression.

The D16Y8's intake runner "splitter" is more angled towards one side and is longer.. better for fuel economy at lower rpm, not as good for higher rpm power.

Stick with the D16y8 in my opinion. That way you don't have to swap OBD stuff.

Well what "obd stuff" are you having to swap? I mean theres the vtec solenoid, I cant thing of anything else.
