So I went to start up my car yesterday, and when the key was on the On position, the CEL, SRS, oil, battery, all those lights came on as they do, but when I started the motor the CEL went away all of a sudden. It's been on for the last two months I've had the test pipe on solid.
Any ideas? Is everything okay then?

Is the secondary o2 completely removed or just exposed outside?
When I had no cat and was OBDII all the secondary o2 needed to see was some air and it didnt throw a code. I had it ziptied under the car. That could be whats happening.

I heard that wont work and it will still throw a code because the o2 has to see some dirty air not just fresh air. i heard it has to be between two different numbers....but im forgetting what numbers they were. BTW for the thread starter...is your o2 exposed? or in the exhaust flow?
