shifting not smooth?
ok well i don't know what's wrong with my car now. but when i shift it doesn't engage smoothly, it's more of a jerk, it'll jerk into the gear and go. when i sit in everyone else's car, the shifting is so smooth, when they shift at redline, it just pulls into the next gear but for me it's like weak or hopping or something when i shift. anybody know what's wrong?
i already searched and found nothing.

Might improve greatly if you do a tranny fluid change (Honda MTF oil) that can take away notchiness, and make for smoother shifting in lots of cases.
i had gm syncromesh in there before but then when i changed out my clutch, the guy put in some regular mtf so i just left it at that. it jerks at the release of the clutch and it goes into the gears fine...
its just that when im in other peoples cars or im driving them, the shifting actually pulls and my car just kind of hops when i shift at redline.

if the clutch is new then its normal..
well from my experience it goes away after a few days/weeks depending on how much you drive
if its been a couple of weeks/month it may be something different
usually on new clutches it causes a jerk sensation because a) your not used to the clutch grabbing so quickly which may be the jerk you seem to get when your at red line or what not but it also happens on slow speeds kind of like bobs your car a little.. makes you feel like a beginner driver.
or if you had the gm synchomesh you most likely had problems with your synchro prior to your knowlede or whatnot and by putting in the regular shitty mtf your tranny is not used to the different type of fluid that is in it presently.
those are the only two things i can think of ..
if it werent hydraulic clutch id also say to check your adjustment but thats kind of out of the q'n on hondas
ps: i have tranny problems too and kinda hessitating on trying the synchmesh.. dunno about you guys but i m not too much of a gm fan lol..
i know alot of people have vouched for it but how good is it and is there any side effects you guys know of and or possible damage it can cause from using it?
i dropped some lucas mtf crapp into it dunno havent seen the effect of it yet but only been like 100km since put in in...

the clutch was put in months ago
and yes i did have a syncro problrem which went away after putting in GM syncromesh. that was even before i changed the clutch, but after it was changed, regular mtf was used. could that be the problem?
