third gear shift problem
well just today, my car started acting weird, when i punch it in 2nd gear, and shift around 7000, the gear hesitates to go into third, or grinds as its going in, (i put the clutch all the way down, and waited for the gear to get in before letting go to make sure it wasnt me), but it shifts fine if driving normally, its only when i push the car. could it be the transmission fluid? but if it was, wouldnt it be doing it with all gears, not just third? and i dont think its my clutch going out, its smooth with all other gears,
i have an act 2100 clutch
turbocharged on a stock transmission
pushing maybe 300whp?
i have 96xxx miles
my bro said it might be a syncro, any ideas?
thanks guys.

if your synchros were bad it would not hesitate much or at all to go into gear before it starts to grind. if the gear goes in after some preassure aplied to it (forcing it in). if it wont let u put it in gear at all while shifting, it means that your syncrhonizers are doing your their job at not leting you shift because the speeds between gears arent evenly matched yet. this could be because your clutch is not disegaging all the way thus making the input shaft keep spinning and not letting the synchros do their job.
(unless you have major tranny problems then thats a different case, but for now stick with the basics)
in other words. check your clutch before u start to tear things appart
