B18B turbo... block guard or deck sealing.. advantages
i was wondering if im going to boost my engine soon. i want to be able to push up to 15lbs of boost at least when im at the track. on stock internals. how much would doing this to the block before i do so benefit me. if everything else in the engine is stock. will i be able to handle this or is it imperative to do this to the block.
also up for any other suggestions on how to make my engine more capable of taking boost and not messing anything up. i would like to still have this car as a daily driver if possible.

15 psi on a stock block is pushing it, i've seen people on the board do it, but its just a question of how long it will last, even with a great conservative, eventually it will lead done the same road

dont listen to what people say...hell one person may have a t25 and run 20psi of boost and tell you its ok and you do it on your 60-1 and blow it up. I had a t3/t04e 60 trim and ran 14.5psi on the dyno and made 304whp and 270wtq. When i would go out and run people i would run 17psi for a run or 2. It can be done...but it is pushing it. But when i did it i use to just think "hell LS's are a dime a dozen". Remember.....your not fast unless your breaking stuff
what type of ecu or management system are u using. im getting an s-afc with the kit i have heard bad things about it though. so im kinda worried i want to be able to push at least 10lbs of boost on it though.. and i will try to get it dyno tuned as soon as possible.

I run uberdata...its like hondata but free. I HATE the hack because you cant control timing and i hate 450's. If you wana use the hack get a msd btm unit to retard timing. It wont be the best but it will be safer. BTW sell the hack and just pay someone to tune your uberdata!

if you are going to stay on stock internals, i would get a cometic thicker than stock head gasket and head studs, and get a 255lph intank pump and 450,s and a realy good tune from a good tuner that knows what they are doing, but i would go about 300whp on a stock motor, boost is not what kills a motor it is detination.
