where is the full line on the oil pan?
Im about to tap my oil pan and I know i need the fitting ABOVE the oil in the oil pan. My question is, how low can I go. Where on the oil pan is it considered full. Where it becomes full width of the motor? Thanks.
I dont know if i want water going into my oil pan. And It's kind of hard to take the oil pan off and try to compare it to the dipstick. Ok in other words, what is the LOWEST I can go on my d series oilpan for installing the return nipple. Can anyone show me a pic or something? Thanks.
the water idea is good. I rinse out all the pans I weld with water, then mineral spirits or whatever my favorite solvent that week is. basicly put the bung as high as you can go and still fit the welder gun on the top of it, like 3/4" down is fine. oh and don't block any pan bolts either.
yeah, obviously I want it as high as possible. I wanted to know what my limits were though, didn't want to block it
Ok I guess I'll try the water trick. Anyone else before I go and do it
