ok what dizzy works with a jdm d15b motor ..so i can get one asap ..my car cranks but no start..changed plugs, no smoke ..so i know its the dizzy

its off a jdm d15b motor.

we put the motor in a crx and we used the crx si dizzy.

 

whoa killa,..first off,..are you sure you arent getting any spark?

the motor is in a eg hb

 

usually the first thing to go in the distributor is the coil,...a bseries coil from my local autoparts store ran me around 60 bucks,..might be cheaper for a dseries,..i would try getting a new coil first,..cheaper than getting a new distributor,...btw how are you checking for spark?

 

60 for a coil...I'll sell you a whole new dizzy off a d16a6 (crx si) for 60 shipped

 

im checking it buy putting a screw driver in the wires

take a spark plug out,...now put it in the boot of the sparkplug wire,..hold it like an 1/8 of an inch away from a good ground,..have a friend turn the key to crank the motor,..look in between the spark plug and the ground and see if you can see a spark

its not a for sure thing but most likely your coil is done because like i said above,..usually the first thing to go is the coil,...go get a new coil from autozone/pepboys/etc

 

ok cool yeah i was just talk to my friend he said the same thing happen and it mite be my coil so i hope that it.else im screwed

 

also does it matter what coil i get

 

this just happened to me....i replaced the coil.....nothin changed......and then the ignitor....i am now driving after 3 weeks with no hatchie

the one from the crx won't work cause it won't plug into your obd1 harness.
