did a b18 motor swap but not sure if it came with the distributor or if the stock LS distributor is in it. Is there a way to tell,and also will the VTEC work with the stock distributor, or do you need a GSR one?

 

if they used the LS distributor, it will work, but they will have cut off one of the lobes where it bolts to the head. this does not affect vtec.

 

The dist. is not in the motor, it is aside the head just to the left of the valve cover when your looking at the motor from the front of the car. It is the black metal and plastic thing that all your sparkplug wires connect to. Any dist. will work as long as it is from another b-series motor.
