Default Is there any way to put a small 6-7lb turbo on a 2000 ITR with a 75 DP NOS KIT?

Is there anyway to do this safely I'd really like a 7lb turbo with my NOS kit I already have drilled into my intake manifold...of course I'd drop from 100hp to 75 but I just wanna know how to do this safely...maybe lower compression pistons forged rods, sleeved, 3 angle valve job, all the goodies!!!!!

so you think all I would have to do is lower compression (forged) pistons and rods and I can run 7psi WITH a 75shot nos???? it can't be that easy...

P.S. i already have a Apexi VAFC is that's the same as a SAFC

do you think a fuel pump would be needed for a turbo....im also looking to boost and im only going to boost up to 8.

here is what i was told by a very reputable honda tuner/engine builder.. if you dont have lotta cash right now you can slap on a turbo kit run it at low boost.. like 5-6 psi max on bone stock motor.. I.E. here is what you would need. Lets say drag kit, test pipe (not needed but will give you some free HP) nice flowing muff w/2.5 piping, FPR, hondata, boost gauge, EGT gauge, oil press, thats about it.. and about 4 hrs or so of good tunning w/440 injectors.. ahh and a fuel pump.. again this is not cheap but it will get you by for a while.. if you plan on more boost pistons/rods a must.. either way even if you decide to run it at low boost you will eventually need to rebuild anyways cause your rings "WILL" give in at a certain point.

let the compression at 10.6:1. Boost 5-6psi and shot 50 NOS and with propper tuning you don´t need to upgrade the bottom end. High compression is good for off boost driving.

A standalone, 440cc injectors and a stronger fuel pump would I suggest.

i think 5-6 lbs alone would be more then enough even then its pushing it.. with what i mentioned above that would be a safe street set up.. do not expect huge numbers because you just cant be done "safely" on a stock block but it should be decent street driving machine that will be much faster then in stock form.. little of high CR + turbo for street driving

but then again, do not count on this forever, ring will give in for sure, time will tell and of course your driving habbit! if you are heavy on the gas you might want to consider doing bottom end work before the turbo.

Ohh btw to answer your question about NOS, forget it.. you'll blow the fugg up! you are better off selling that kit and investing in a clutch unless you already have one or use that money for hondata, its not cheap.

Damn, Keith, Your crazy, but I was actually thinking of doing the same damn thing!! You'll need minumally a 255 Fuel pump, preferably 317. Injectors, injectors, injectors. I've heard you can use the eclipse injectors. I think they're 290s, but just like everyone else is saying, 440s would be best.

Eclipse injectors are a lot bigger than 290 the 96 prelude vtec injectors are 330
