check your positive wire it is grounding itself out or it could be your groung wire touching an open positive.
it is prob split open somewhere have you bees taking any interior pieces out and in lately?

Basically go over your wires and put the correct size amperage fuse in. Not that you havent been.

You have a short some where, fix the problem and the fuse will not keep blowing.

Check for water inside the tail lamps etc...
Especially if it has been raining or you just washed it..

Ok,but you should probably remove the sockets from the housing and make sure..
Or shine a flashlight in there and shake the car...
It can be hard to tell sometimes..I can hit mine with the sprayer
at the car wash and watch them fill up...

Anyway,check this link: http://www.inliners.org/tech/tech6.html
It explains how to hook a test light in and from there you start unplugging
each component until the light goes out..when it does you have found your short..
Check like the taillight bulbs for broken filaments that shorted..

The easiest way to find it would be a short detector which is an RF transmitter and receiver..

It is a Short detector which is a tool..
See that bunch of fried wire next to it?

It came from here:

Someone put a fuse that was too big in it and it fried all kinds of crap..
I fixed it all though...One wire at a time..

same thing happened to me it was the turn signal up front d/s it was twisted around like six times and i guess the heat from the wires dried them out and they started shorting out just one more thing to try

Man, it's okay, don't blow youre load. you really don't need that! I work for GM and GMC and we never use anything like that. Just a Fluke 88 and test lamp...fluke 88 rocks!

i got a 77 or 87 and a crap on, your right i don't need that one, but it's badass, since it creates it's own signal, i just bought a mac one, for 10$ not all electronic and hi tech but it will work, maybe i'll be able to use it to find out why my old 4 channel amp kept shorting out.

I borrowed it from a friend..It is a MAC tools FF300 fault finder
He said he had never used it but it worked well..

To tell the truth it just found a starting point on the nightmare pictured
above..From there I unwrapped the harness from the ignition switch
all the way to the transmission and started replacing burnt wires..

I did hook it up after the ordeal was over and it gave me a green light
though..

on mine, i looked on the fuse box and saw that the wire that goes to the front driver side corner light/blinker was fried. i had to take it all out and put new wire in.
